Your MSTR® Scar Tissue Release session is guided by the individual scar, the surrounding tissues and how your body responds to the work. There is no particular way you are expected to feel during or after your session. The suggestions below are simply here to help you prepare comfortably, give your body time to respond, and notice anything that feels meaningful afterward.
Before Your Session
A little preparation helps ensure the scar can be comfortably and appropriately assessed and worked with. Where possible:
Continue your usual hydration
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the scar
Ensure the scar is fully healed, with no open areas or active healing
Avoid applying lotions or creams to the area before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin
Let me know about any current sensitivity, tenderness or other sensations in or around the scar
There is no particular response you need to look for before your session. Simply be aware of how the scar and surrounding area currently feel and move.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Give the area—and your body—time to respond to the scar work at its own pace.
You may wish to:
Continue your usual hydration
Notice how the scar and surrounding tissues feel
Pay attention to any changes in comfort, sensitivity or ease of movement
Notice whether anything feels different elsewhere in your body as you move
Jot down anything that feels meaningful or different
Avoid judging the session by whether you notice an immediate change
Simply notice what you notice, without expecting the scar or surrounding tissues to feel different in any particular way.
