Your Reiki session is an opportunity to slow down, settle and receive. There is no right or expected way to prepare, respond or feel afterward. The suggestions below are here to help you approach your session with ease, give yourself space afterward, and notice what feels meaningful to you.

Before Your Session

There is no special way you need to prepare. Come as you are and, where possible:

  • Continue your usual hydration

  • Wear comfortable clothing

  • Give yourself enough time to arrive or settle in without feeling rushed

  • For a distance session, choose a comfortable space where you're unlikely to be interrupted

  • Try not to arrive with expectations about what you should experience

You don't need to look for something to happen. Simply notice what you notice.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Give yourself permission to move through the rest of your day at your own pace.

You may wish to:

  • Continue your usual hydration

  • Allow yourself some quiet time if that feels appropriate

  • Notice how you feel physically and emotionally

  • Pay attention to your movement, energy and sleep

  • Jot down anything that feels meaningful or different

Avoid judging an experience as “good,” “bad,” “working,” or “not working” based on one particular sensation or response.

YOU MAY WANT TO NOTICE...

Movement • Energy • Mood • Sleep • Ease • Awareness

There is nothing on this list that you are expected to experience.
