When Something Unexpected Happens: Supporting Rayne with Bowen and Tuning Forks
Around 12:30, I noticed Rayne suddenly biting at her front leg, trying to spit something from her mouth and rubbing her face on the ground. I checked her for anything obvious and contacted my veterinarian. They advised me of what symptoms to watch for.
While keeping her close and monitoring her, I offered gentle Bowen work and used my tuning forks with the acupressure points I've been trained to work with.
Later she went for her normal walk. The itching and scratching had stopped. And by dinner time, she was patiently waiting for her meal.
A note about animal care:
Bowen Therapy and tuning fork work are complementary approaches and are not substitutes for veterinary assessment or treatment. Sudden swelling, breathing difficulty, excessive drooling, collapse or other concerning symptoms following a suspected bite or sting require prompt veterinary attention.
